Product

Definition

In the Retail Ops environment, a Product is an entity (either a good or a service) intended to satisfy a need. It can be sold to a Customer and/or purchased to a Supplier. It can be assigned an Identity, specifications & attributes, categories, dimensions, prices and fees, and in the Retail Ops context, is linked to one Catalog (thus also to one Supplier).

Product specifications​

A product has several kinds of information:

  • Main information:
    • Reference: product reference
    • Grouping: grouping in which the product will be present when it is added to a document
    • Description: product description
    • Dimensions: product dimensions in millimeters
  • Pricing:
    • Purchase price: purchase price of the product
    • Purchase unit: choice between "unit, linear meter, cubic meter, liter, kilogram, ..."
    • VAT rate: default rate applicable to the product according to its country of sale
    • Reduced VAT rate: reduced tax rate in the case where the country this information
    • Sale price excluding VAT: sale price of the product excluding taxes
    • Sale unit: choice between "unit, linear meter, cubic meter, liter, kilogram, ..."
    • Sale price including VAT: sale price of the product including all taxes. The calculation is carried out automatically if the amount was entered excluding VAT. However, in the case where the user wants a specific sales amount, it is possible to enter it including tax so that the excluding tax is calculated automatically (example 399.99 including tax)
    • Eco contribution: if the country is subject to additional contributions (DEA for France and WEEE for Europe), the applicable eco contribution values ​​can be defined at this level.
  • Images: it is possible to assign several images to the product. A default image can be selected via the "star" icon provided for this purpose. The mandatory information to create a product is: its reference, its purchase and sale units as well as the applicable VAT rates.

      • Internal reference
      • Supplier reference
      • Finish
      • Storable
      • Weight
      • Volume
      • Density
      • Number of packages
      • Fixed package
      • ...
    • Attributes groups a list of potential complementary values
