Web project
In the Retail Ops environment, a Web project is a project created from a web store. These are projects created from your consumer website by consumers.
Concept
The principle of Web projects is to allow people to create projects directly from your commercial website, without appearing in your project lists. This allows consumers to make multiple projects without disrupting your work. When they want to finalize one of them, they may come to the closest store in order to finalize it. Here you can retrieve these web project by using the consumer email address for example, and then make a copy for your store.
When resuming this project:
- Retail Ops retrieves the last estimate made by the client and duplicates its configuration.
- After this copy, the original web project is no longer available for a pick-up in a store project, simply because we can only have one active copy of this web project at the same time.
- On the other hand, cancelling the active store project makes it possible again for you to resume this web project in any of your stores.
Depending on your integration, you can even give access to this web project in your general public site, in order to allow your clients to follow the progress of their projects. This is what we call "web to store" and "store to web".
If you want to use this feature combined with the HomeByMe / KitchenByMe design software, you will need to use HomeByMe Launcher.
