Classification

Introduction​

Product groupings/classifications correspond to the groupings visible in sales documents. These groupings are also used in statistics.

By default the proposed groupings are:

  • Furniture
  • Linear
  • Appliance
  • Sanitary
  • Accessory
  • Service
  • Misc

Settings​

The "Classification" configuration form allows you to gather several categories provided by any external configuration tool/planner onto globalized classifications, in order to harmonize them according your needs. To change these classifications, you can click on the pen. The same form appears but is being modified, so you can assign or unassign certain classifications of a grouping. You can also add classifications manually. Attention, one cannot add a classification in two groupings. You can also change the default VAT rate on each grouping (see default taxes)

Default taxes​

By default, a product that is imported onto the Retail operations system from any external application is added to the Retail operations catalog with some default tax settings. The classification settings allow you to modify those default tax settings for all products that will be added to any specific classification. An example of this feature is to forbid the ability to set a reduced VAT on all appliances.

Localization​

For any company that would need to use Retail operations in multiple languages, a "Localize" feature allows to translate the different classifications in the desired languages.
